It’s a sure sign that Spring has sprung when you see these pretty flowers crop up around Texas. The state flower, the Bluebonnet, paints a blue carpet along most of the freeways where you take your life in your hands to get a photo of them. Lucky for me, there is a fantastic crop of them on a little hill not far from our apartment. And it’s a side street, no dangerous dodging of traffic needed! It was so cold outside today it seemed odd to have so many flowers around me, but I took advantage of the fact that it was too cold for bees. That made me extremely happy, I’ll brave a bit of cold wind any day to avoid bees.
